2. Product Information & Allergen Warnings
Ingestion Risk: While we strive to present accurate product details, ingredient lists, and nutritional values, product packaging and materials may contain additional or updated information. Always read labels, warnings, and directions before consuming any Product.
Allergens: Our snack bars are produced in facilities or environments that may handle common allergens including, but not limited to, peanuts, tree nuts, oats, soy, dairy, seeds, and sesame. Although we use certified gluten free oats and use separate tools for making our bars there is always a small risk of cross contamination. We recommend if you have concerns with a severe food allergy to not buy our product and keep yourself safe. You may also please send us an email to discuss any concerns and we will be happy to answer your questions.
Storage: We recommend keeping our bars refrigerated or frozen. They do have a recommended 3-month shelf life outside of any refrigeration. We have not completed formal shelf-life testing as we are a new company and plan to change our packaging, production facility and may change ingredients all of which effect shelf life testing.
3. Pricing, Orders, and Payment
Currency: All prices listed on our website are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.
Taxes: Applicable local, provincial, and federal taxes will be calculated and applied at checkout.
Order Acceptance: Receiving an order confirmation email does not signify our acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, including product availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.
Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely at checkout via third-party providers (e.g., Credit Card, Square, Stripe). You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
4. Shipping, Delivery, and Local Pickup
Shipping Locations: We ship within Canada.
Delivery Estimates: Delivery timeframes provided at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by postal carriers, customs, or weather. Currently we have limitations in our production runs which can also cause delays in shipping.
Risk of Loss: Risk of loss and title for all physical Products pass to you upon our transfer of the shipment to the carrier.
5. Refunds, Cancellations, and Returns
Due to food safety and health regulations, we cannot accept returns of opened or consumed food products.
Cancellations: Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled. Subscriptions can be paused or cancelled 14 days before the next renewal (see Subscriptions below).
Damaged or Incorrect Orders: If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged items and packaging. We will review the claim and issue a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Alberta Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the Alberta Consumer Protection Act.
5A. Subscription Plans
How it works: A Bonk Bars subscription is 21 bars (3 packs of 7) delivered every 1, 2 or 3 months, depending on the plan you choose. Your first order is charged at checkout, and each renewal is charged automatically to the same payment method on the same schedule until you pause or cancel.
Price: Subscriptions are $90 per delivery plus applicable taxes. Shipping is free. If we change the subscription price, we will email you at least 14 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Swapping flavours, pausing and cancelling: You can cancel your subscription at any time before your next renewal by logging in to My Account → Subscriptions, or if you want to swap flavours, pause or change frequency emailing us at stevenschaming@gmail.com. Changes made after a renewal has been charged will apply to the following delivery.
Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, we will try again and email you. If payment still can’t be collected, your subscription may be paused until your payment details are updated.
6. Personal Information and Privacy
Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable federal privacy regulations. We collect and use personal data (such as name, shipping address, and payment information) strictly to fulfill orders, manage accounts, and communicate with you about your order.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, product names, text, graphics, images, and brand assets, are the exclusive property of Bonk Foods and is protected by Canadian trademark and copyright laws. We are ok with Bonk related art that is not offensive and family friendly.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Alberta and Canada:
Products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except as required by consumer protection laws.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or consumption of our Products.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the purchase of Products shall not exceed the total dollar amount paid by you for the applicable order.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and any purchase made through this website shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes shall be brought before the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date refreshed. Your continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
